Boards - 1st Round

Hey Guys,

Here are some initial ideas that we have come up with. We are definitely open to mixing and matching if you like things from multiple sets of boards. Also these are initial boards, so they are meant to look rough. If you guys arent feelin it let us know what we can be doing to get back on track. Our next set of boards is due on the 20th, and we will have more stylized versions as these go on. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and comments.

Boards/Style My Thoughts

Hey guys, included below is my initial ideas. Please let me know what you think, likes/dislikes or whatever. Thanks!

Positive Movement, by the MTHDS explores the transformative power of music on the band’s life, as the lyrics dip and sway from past to present.

My treatment of their song involves three separate stages of development:

1.     Establishing the band in an urban setting

2.     Visiting the nostalgic memories which shape their perceptions, which

3.     Set the stage for their big concert at The Bluebird for their new CD

My style will focus on the disorienting effect of macro photography to create abstract and aesthetically pleasing video footage of the band, their instruments, old furniture and stereos representing their youth, as well as their concert scheduled for November 5^th. I believe that through shallow depth of field I can capture the essence of the band rather than the cliché and typical music videos currently offered. This is experimental in the sense that it doesn’t have a clearly presented narrative, although it does contain an implied narrative based upon the lyrics contained in the song itself, and the dichotomies created between the two.
