Boards - 1st Round

Hey Guys,

Here are some initial ideas that we have come up with. We are definitely open to mixing and matching if you like things from multiple sets of boards. Also these are initial boards, so they are meant to look rough. If you guys arent feelin it let us know what we can be doing to get back on track. Our next set of boards is due on the 20th, and we will have more stylized versions as these go on. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and comments.

  1. wudup wudup! yo all the storyboards look pretty tight, its real cool that you guys are all takin this seriously, very professional and thought out! theres nothing really wrong with any of the boards in my opinion, im down to do whatever yall come up with. one idea i did wanna mention, and this is from our bassist chip, was that the weekend of the 23rd theres a zombie crawl in downtown denver. itd be a sweet opportunity for some great shots and i think the juxtaposition of such a peppy positive song and ghoulish zombies might be kind of interesting. plus all the extras will have already done all their own wardrobe and makeup. yall have a better idea of this kind of thing, but those kind of blurry high contrast (happy) style shots might look tight on a zombie. heres a link to last years photo gallery http://denver.metromix.com/events/photogallery/zombie-crawl-shambles-to/1557419/content . conceptually we could also be zombies, or we could be hippies and pass out flowers and hackey sacks to people or some shit. itd be sweet to get some shots of zombies makin out, holdin hands, skippin, (basically anything a zombie wouldnt do, ie getting a sluprpee at 711). itd be tough to control the environment, i know, but maybe we could get all the footage we can from that and kinda work backwards? i dunno, im just throwin out some ideas for somethin that might be a bit funnier or attention grabbing cause our goal in a video is to make something people would wanna watch anyway even if the music sucks... lemme know what yall think. like i said i like all the boards, look great, but thought this might be a good opportunity to capture some good footage. holllllrrrr. speakin of hollrin yall should check out hollerados new vid americanarama. very 'ok go' and way more time and work than we can put in, i just thought yall might enjoy it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Whv1tLqKZig hope alls good, we'll be in touch. thanks again for all your ideas n efforts. dilly

  2. impressive concepts! i am very fond of the hitchhiker/band member aspect. driver starts car in mountains and heads to city picking up band members along the way, some in city amongst zombies (if possible). easy to combine these two storyboards. nostalgic concepts are obvious and literal. should try to expand creatively. band forming amongst the chaos. insrtuments can float in green screen for chorus and be swept away in whirlwind. zombies can walk off with guitars. of course, controlling all zombies is unlikely but having a few zombie actors is highly possible. we can conscript close to 10. peace in hysteria should be the concentration, allowing also for ironic humor throughout. maybe final shot we all become zombies in car if you're into bizarre, unhappy endings.
